Lina Huertas Psychologist

Acknowledgments

Perhaps it's not usual to write a text like this on a professional website, but I wanted to do it to thank the people who made this project possible.

Those who know me know that I deeply enjoy providing psychological support. Accompanying others is something that fulfills and inspires me. Although I admit that "putting myself out there"—posting, talking about what I do, recording myself—doesn't come so easily to me. So this process of creating the website, writing, and choosing photos has been a real challenge and, at the same time, an exercise in personal growth.

When I started writing, I wasn't quite sure where to begin. So I asked for help from those who know me best as a psychologist: some of the people I support in their therapy. I sent them a short questionnaire about their experiences in therapy. Their responses were so moving and beautiful that they gave me the encouragement and confidence to share what I do. Thank you so much for inspiring me!

I also want to thank everyone who has sought my help at some point: from my first patients during my clinical rotations to those I've supported in mental health, migration, and refugee organizations, navigating life stories that were as difficult as they were courageous. That period gave me invaluable experience and versatility in providing care. Today, in my private practice, I enjoy supporting people through more everyday processes, and it moves me deeply to see how they open up, move forward, and find kinder ways to be with themselves.

Thanks to those who have shared their testimonials and reviews—it's definitely what I like most about this website.

TO Jaime Sorey, for the design and for telling me about the Digital Kit; to Alberto Amortegui, for their photos, creativity, and for encouraging me to be more active on social media; to Carolina Vicente, for offering me space both on their website and in their office; Andrea Guerrero, for the logo design and my beginnings on Instagram; to my partner, for their constant support and confidence in this new project; to my family, for being close even in distance; already my friends and colleagues, for accompanying me and recommending me during this stage.

I also thank my teachers, therapists, and mentors, from whom I have learned so much, and with whose teachings I have been forming my own alchemy.
And finally, to myself: for empathy, curiosity, the desire to keep learning, and the trust in my intuition and in that therapeutic presence that makes it possible to generate authentic and transformative bonds.
